5 Reasons To Visit Park City This June

Park City may be a world-class ski town, but this stunning mountain refuge is still a hidden gem in the summer. Cool breezes, beautiful views, community festivals and outdoor concerts make Park City a perfect place to get away and enjoy some alpine relaxation.
Here are five great reasons to visit this June:

1. Park Silly Sunday Marketing (Ongoing) >>>
This open-air, eco-friendly market is a hidden gem of summer and a local favorite. Every Sunday from early June to mid-September, Lower Historic Main Street is taken over by more than 150 vendors. Enjoy live music and street performances, while browsing a wide-array of artists’ wares and being tempted by local farmers’ bounty. Walking to this free community event is encouraged and easily accomplished with the complimentary city-wide bus service and our collection of Main Street accommodations.

2. Beauty and the Beast at the Egyptian Theater (June 1-4th) >>>
“Be our Guest” at the historic Egyptian Theater and get swept away by the live musical of Disney’s magical classic, Beauty & the Beast! This heartwarming fairytale combined with hit Broadway songs from Alan Manken and Tim Rice will delight the romantic in you and enchant your children.

3. Savor the Summit (June 17th) >>>
Park City’s largest and longest dinner party isn’t just about inspired wine pairings and savoring dishes from over 20 of the best local chefs, served on a table stretching a mile of Main Street. This solstice tradition of wine, specialty cocktails, local brews, dining and music is also about enjoying Park City’s spectacular mountain setting, while bringing together old friends and new, to recall the best moments of the past ski season and make plans for new summer adventures on the trails, rivers, reservoirs and peaks.

4. High West Distillery Tour at Blue Sky Ranch (Ongoing) >>>
Visit Utah’s first and now famed legal distillery to see how mountain-crafted spirits are made during a High West tour at their distillery, which is located on the gorgeous 3,000 acre Blue Sky Ranch. From milling the grain to the barreling process, you’ll learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make their special Wasatch whiskeys. No tour is complete without a tasting and a look into their famous 250 gallon copper still.

5. Opening Day for Deer Valley and Canyons Village >>>
The Park City Resort opens its main resort base for summer mountain operations in late May, but their Canyon Village Base opens June 16th, as does Deer Valley ® Resort. Summer activities offered at Deer Valley include lift-served mountain biking to popular flow trails, hiking, horseback riding, and musical concerts at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheatre. Between Park City’s two base areas enjoy zip tours, the alpine slide and coaster, scenic chairlift rides, the bike park and the popular mid-mountain hiking and mountain bike trail.
