Located in the historic Coffin Point Plantation, Preston's Tides offers guests a restful getaway in a unique, secluded oceanfront setting.

Sleeping eight, this three-bedroom, two-bath home is found on two acres, making it one of the largest properties on Coffin Point. Guests can drift off to sleep in the king-sized accommodation, one of the two queens, or opt for the sleeper sofa to recharge for the upcoming day. The living room features a flat-screen television with a DVD player, and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. Enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen and dine as a group at the eight-person table. There is also a charcoal grill for additional cooking.

Kick back and relax on the porch in a lounge chair, or hop into the hammock for an afternoon nap. The private beach—while not appropriate for swimming due to the oyster beds—is a fantastic place to fish and kayak. Should you like to swim, we recommend Hunting Island State Park with one of the best beaches. A car pass for the beach is included with your booking. Please be advised that this home has a 3-car maximum.

For your convenience, Preston’s Tide is equipped with Wi-Fi. We apologize, but pets are not accommodated in this home. Please be advised that this home can accommodate up to 3 vehicles.

*We apologize, but the fireplace is not for guest use.

*Please be advised that there are dirt roads on the Coffin Point Plantation. These roads can get quite soggy during intense rains, but are still passable.

*Security cameras are located outside of the home. These cameras are only activated when the home is vacant.

As our gift to you for booking with us, we offer free admission to select Sea Islands and Beaufort attractions. Called the Xplorie Program, our guests will receive one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like the Kazoo Factory and a free kayak rental. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks!”

Please note that guests must be at least 21 years of age to rent this property.

The space is amazing and had all that was needed to have an enjoyable retreat: beach access, spacious, private, romantic. Just an overall great space and location.

House was private with lots of room and had old character on uninhibited unique beach. Surrounded by nature and awakened by stunning sunrises.

Internet was very spotty which caused some hardship with work and school. Further few kitchen amenities which created some subtle hardships as we had to travel back to market. Had we known in advance it would have saved a lot of travel time given proximity of property. All else good.

This is not the first time I've used Natural Retreats. I saw their name on a posting and booked not realizing I was booking through an agent vs/property management. I had some glitches and the contrast going from one to the other was great. The agent focused on perhaps work criteria (Do's and Dont's) Natural retreats felt very accommodating and all about me. They stayed in constant contact. Even checked on me after my arrival. I made a suggestion about the house, offered to bring me the item I was suggesting. While I said it wasn't necessary, just a suggestion, I appreciated the offer. Cud's to natural retreats and a BIG 10 thumbs up.

The people on the ground in the Sea Islands were responsive and great: Amanda and Tiffany has the broken lock and broken shower handle fixed within the hour! The problem is there wasn’t any instructional literature welcoming or explaining anything about the remote, thermostat, anything else about the house. It would also be nice if the windows opened with screens to enjoy the ocean breezes.

Amanda responded very quickly and effectively to our needs when called upon to fix a problem. She minimized the aggravation and allowed us to return to enjoying our vacation.

Although, the AirBnB needed some TLC, the location was all worth it.

We had a nice time but if I could make a few suggestions it would be: overall feeling of a business vs trying to make a special vacation experience for guests made it a 7 and not a 10. Did not get a email with information until we had been there for 24 hours. Was a little in the dark. Someone coming to the house to greet us and answering questions about the area and help us get a lay of the land would have been appreciated since we had never been to the area before. Employees seemed overworked and tired which makes serving people on vacation very difficult. Maybe this is really more like a VRBO so my expectations were a little off. But I think you would have more people return if you added some special touches to make the experience special.

This property was exactly what we needed for our COVID vacation. We loved the property and the experience.

The staff at NR were great, very friendly and receptive when we had an issue with the alarm system. The property where we stayed needs a lot of attention. Not sure if that is something that the rental agency can hold the owner to or not, but it could improve the experience significantly. Painting, clearing undergrowth in the yard, etc.

Secluded location off the beaten path

Nice big house with a great view! A few minor cosmetic issues with the property but hey, the weather takes its toll on places like this.

Great for nature lovers!

We stayed in this house in August with another family. While it is an older house, everything was clean and we had plenty of linens. We did have to purchase pans to be able to cook for all of our crew. The kitchen did not have an AC vent and it would get very hot. Also the stove could really be upgraded for better cooking results. Take the kitchen out of the equation and it was a great house. The best part about this rental was the beach! We saw so much wildlife. At low tide we saw dolphins, hundred of hermit crabs and other types of crabs. We even saw baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean. The were loads of oyster beds and piles of shells on the beach. The sunrise was also amazing. We spent the afternoons on nearby Hunting Beach Island which was an awesome place! I would recommend this rental for nature lovers. I would suggest a kitchen stove that is more functional and a few more pots and pans.

Secluded ocean and beach home

I loved the old home and the tropical outdoor surroundings. The things that I didn’t like were minor; gas stove not working properly(we grilled outside more), air conditioner (we bought fans to help), the pier was broken and the beach needed some up keeping. Our family loved sitting around the large dinner table and playing cards and games. We loved going to Huntington Beach about 5 minutes away.

A very secluded beach house

I stayed at Preston's Tides in August. I have friends that live on the next island over and came to visit. I spent my mornings working from the enclosed patio on the hammock. I didn't realize how secluded the home would be - I had my own little section of the beach and the home is canopied by

Beautiful beachside oasis!

A group of six adults stayed at Preston's Tides for the Great American Eclipse weekend. We were immediately impressed by the beauty of the house, and the functionality for group living. We were able to cook meals in the lovely kitchen and spread out on the dining table, and stay up to date with Game of Thrones thanks to the Smart TV that let us connect to our HBOgo accounts. :) The king bedroom has a gorgeous ocean view. One of the queens is on the other side of the house, and is a little more private. Overall, we'd come back in a heartbeat.

So peaceful!

My family visited in early August for a last minute getaway befor school started back. It was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the fish boats come and go in the distance. Lots of shells and we found hermit crabs . We brought water shoes and enjoyed swimming. We also saw dolphins swim one afternoon. MJ's Resturant was the best place for dinner. The ladies were super friendly and made us feel so welcome. Bella Luna had a great breakfast.

Preston's Tide

We had a wonderful stay in this home. If you love nature and exploring what it has to offer in the area, this is the place for you. The view from the screened in porch is beautiful and very peaceful. Make sure to take muck boots or some old shoes and explore the oyster beds when the tide is out. The beach is plentiful with oyster shells, clam shells, and an occasional horse shoe crab shell. Love being on the plantation and learning the history of the area. We also took advantage of sight seeing the places where Forrest Gump was filmed. Being close to our Marine didn't hurt either! :)

Peaceful Views

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Preston's Tides on St. Helena. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and quite comfortable. Loved the view. The pier was a favorite hangout spot. I would definitely consider staying here again.
