Whispering Palms

Cheerful, pet-friendly home with private pool and beautiful Gulf View

Due to COVID-19, area offerings (restaurants etc) and communal area amenities shared with other groups of guests (ie: pools, spas, club access etc) are possibly limited or unavailable until further notice. Reach us at 877.805.7794 to discuss the impact on your stay dates.

A sunny, 3-level beach house with gulf views, Whispering Palms lies on the beach in Indian Pass, just eight miles from Port St. Joe and a 5-minute drive from the beaches of Cape San Blas. True to its name the home sits on beachy grounds lined with palm trees and natural landscaping. This home sleeps 12 with 10 being in dedicated beds and an additional 2 on the sleeper sofa located in the living room. Take in the atmosphere from multiple private decks, furnished with classic rocking chairs and patio seating. A truly great first tier beach rental.

Enter on the main level to a sun-filled living, kitchen and dining area, which opens onto a sweeping deck with views of the ocean and private pool. For lazy days indoors, have a seat at the charming writing desk, or sink into one of two full-length sofas to watch the large-screen TV.

A 6-seat formal dining table easily doubles as a place for games and kids’ books, of which you’ll find many! Four high-top stools at the breakfast bar offer additional seating for large groups at dinner. With new, stainless steel appliances and all the cooking utensils you need to enjoy the plentiful seafood of Cape San Blas, the fully equipped kitchen may inspire your inner chef. You’ll also have a private gas grill just outside for even more meal options.

With a family-friendly configuration that also accommodates groups of friends, Whispering Palms comfortably sleeps 10 guests with an additional 2 guests via the pull out sofa (12 total):

Master Bedroom 1 - Upper Level
Queen Bed
This sunny room, the first of two master suites, has a private entrance to the deck with beach views, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom.

Master Bedroom 2 - Upper Level
Queen Bed
The second master also has a private entrance to the deck, beach views, a TV and an en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom 3 - Main Level
2 Twin Beds
This sporty room, styled in a sailing theme, has two twin beds and a TV. Guests have a full bathroom in the hallway.

Bedroom 4 - Main Level
2 Sets of Twin/Twin Bunk Beds
This brightly decorated room, painted lemon-yellow with nautical decor, sleeps up to four guests. You’ll also find kids’ books and a reading bench. Guests share the full bathroom in the hallway.

When you wake in the morning, head to the ocean for a walk along the beach or grab a poolside chair or lounger and relax by the private pool. As part of “Old Florida,” with a slower pace and fewer crowds than surrounding areas, Indian Pass is an ideal escape for families looking to savor stress-free moments together.

Spend evenings building bonfires or roasting marshmallows and hot dogs under the stars, and mornings collecting shells on virtually secluded shores. You can even take a moonlit horseback ride on the beach at Cape San Blas, a five minute drive away. Saint Vincent's Refuge, a National Wildlife Reserve, and St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park, are both less than 10 minutes away. With on-site parking, you can easily explore it all.

We are happy welcome up to 2 dogs for an additional non-refundable pet fee.

Whatever adventures you seek, your tranquil beach house awaits with the calming breeze of the ocean, and if you listen closely, the sounds of Whispering Palms.

Your reservation includes $250 worth of beach gear. That's right! Rent a beach wagon, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, and more for your stay. Your $250 credit will go a long way!

The reason why I give it an 8 and not a 10 was for a few reasons.... 1, we had to pull back a trash can because ours were left at the road... 2, there were no chairs/furniture on the third floor balcony, which was a bummer...3, the house smelled very bad upon arrival- like cats had lived there with kitty litter...4, the TVs were annoyingly hard to figure out and the remotes were not working (had to change batteries in a couple). All small things (except the lack of furniture on the 3rd floor was a big bummer) but still things that should be noted. Other than that, we LOVED the location and pool and non-crowded beach. Another tip for future stays- sheets could be upgraded- felt like paper.

This lovely house is located within walking distance of the gulf. There's are great views and the miles of beach are great for walking. The house is surrounded by tress and spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped, clean and ready to use. Everything a person would need to have a great week at the beach is at this house!

We really liked the house. Great views from nearly all the windows. It was cleaned well and had everything we needed. Washer and dryer are excellent. Beds were comfortable. Dishwasher is kinda old. You can tell there had been pets staying there with a slight smell in the top room. Nothing to keep me from staying again though.
