Unique Home, just above Main Street with Hot Tub and Panoramic Views

Due to high visitation and staffing constraints, local area offerings such as restaurants, bars, shopping, and shared amenities may have limited hours or availability. Cell phone and internet service may also be impacted during high visitation periods. Please contact us directly to discuss the impact during your stay dates.

A family-friendly home with modern architecture and elegant decor, Hillside Haus sits above Main Street with easy walking access to restaurants, shops, live entertainment, and the PCMR ski runs. Multiple private decks allow for indoor/outdoor living across all three levels, affording views of Old Town and the surrounding mountains. Completed in March of 2019, this home is up to date with all the modern amenities including radiant heat throughout.

From the ground level, which features a rare two-car garage, guests take a private elevator to the front door of the main house. Once in the main house, guests are greeted by an open-concept living area. An elegant sectional sofa faces a wall of picture windows and a cozy gas fireplace, framed by two additional armchairs.

Just behind the sitting area, a streamlined gourmet kitchen with marble countertops and hardwood cabinetry allows for home-cooked meals. A butler's pantry includes a sink, second dishwasher, and a coffee bar set-up. Seat 6-10 guests at the dining table, which offers a front-row seat to the mountain views through sliding glass doors. This floor of the home also includes a powder bath.

Modern Mountainside Marvel

If you are thinking of building a home on the side of a mountain, you should first stay at Cheryl’s beautiful mountain home! The architecture is a marvel, the use of space is amazing, Cheryl thought of every creature comfort. For a Florida girl staying on the side of a beautiful snowy mountain, I stayed comfortable and cozy the entire time. The floors were heated, so I didn’t even need my house shoes, there are 2 beautiful gas fire places and cozy furnishings, not to mention the awesome hot tub! All the appliances in the home are modern and new. I thought I was going to be confused about using these modern appliances, but they are incredibly intuitive. The key is to not overthink how to use the appliance. Then the piece de la resistance was the elevator that took the work of getting the luggage and groceries upstairs so much easier. If you love a cozy bed that will envelop you in warm cozy comfort, look no further than the master bedroom with amazing views. The master shower has water at every angle and a bench, which will leave you feeling like you showered in a warm light rain storm. There are 4 bunk beds big enough for my 6’5” husband to be comfortable in. He tested one bunk bed even though we didn’t bring the kids to make sure even a Grandmother would feel comfortable sleeping in there if we brought the whole family next year. It seemed like all the downstairs beds were Tempur-pedic beds. I was hanging with a friend in her room, and the faux fur throw was so cozy I almost fell asleep mid-sentence. There are 3.5 bathrooms, so you do not have to worry about a large group of guests not having the ability to have a restroom whenever necessary. Each bathroom was outfitted with toiletries in case you forgot your own, and a hair dryer (so no need to pack that space waster). I have a bad knee that even a hot tub can’t fix after a hard day of skiing, so I got Epson salt and used the nice over-sized tub in the guest bath to take down the swelling, and was comfortable the entire soak. Best of all, if you get snowed in, not to worry, you can still get on the mountain when the rest of the town cannot. Right at the end of the street is an access point which you can use to ski in and out (maybe 150 yards at most.) The access point is a blue level run, but the PCMR seems to groom it pretty often. There is plenty of room in the garage to store your skis, boots, boards, and helmets so you don’t have to bring any of that upstairs and make a mess of the entryway. If you don’t feel like skiing, there is a stair case that leads to Main St. mere steps away from the heated driveway. It is a hike back up, but if someone who lives at sea level can do it, you can too! Both Cheryl and her management company are incredibly attentive, and were quick to respond to any question. We even had a personalized welcome on the chalk wall leading to the main part of the house. There are a lot of steps in this home, so I would not recommend that someone in need of wheelchair access stay here. However, the stairs are not a problem otherwise. In fact, they allow for a lot of privacy for the master suite! You can feel like you are on a second honeymoon even if you bring the whole family with all the privacy the master affords you. We really loved our vacation at Cheryl’s, and hope we can stay here every year that we come to Park City.
