Sprawling Rustic-Lux Home on Golf Course, Steps to Town Center and Ski Shuttle
Ideal for guests seeking a tranquil retreat in the heart of Big Sky, Hobbit House offers a private escape with easy access to restaurants, shops, entertainment and endless outdoor adventures, from golf to skiing.
The 5-bedroom home lies on the 16th hole of the Big Sky Golf Course, a short walk from Town Center and the free ski shuttle, with direct access to miles of Nordic trails in the winter. Drive to the base of Big Sky Resort, hiking trails, fly-fishing streams and parks in less than 15 minutes.
Converted from an old ranch house into a rustic-luxury lodge, complete with local natural timbers and stone fireplaces, Hobbit House also inspires leisurely days at home, spent curled up by the wood-burning fireplace or enjoying a drink on the patio, which overlooks the golf course. Modern bathrooms, radiant heat and a home theatre system add contemporary amenities to the home’s Old West ambience.
In the cozy great room, a massive picture window reveals mountain views and grounds lined with evergreen trees, while two leather armchairs and a full-length sofa invite guests to gather by the fireplace.
This room opens onto the gourmet kitchen, which boasts stainless steel appliances, stone countertops and a charming sitting area with a gas fireplace. Between a 6-seat dining table and 5 additional seats at the breakfast bar, you can easily host large family dinners.
After dinner, head downstairs to the game room for a friendly game of billiards or foosball, or a movie on the home theatre system. The lower level also features a washer and dryer for convenience, and one of the home’s guest rooms. Between the five spacious suites, Hobbit House comfortably sleeps up to 11 guests:

Great location just outside the town center and very spacious. Beautiful view of the mountains from the back of the house. Comfortable beds. Would stay here again for sure.

We really think that your management company is great and very responsive. We did however have a few issues with plumbing and a leaky roof when we arrived and they took care of them as best as they could. This is, however, our second time renting this home and it seems to be a little more run down than last year. We will not rent this home again from you but will rent from natural retreats again.

Natural Retreats does an excellent job of planning and communicating in detail. Extra touches such as the branded toiletry supplies is great too. Very responsive. Our house could have used a bit of maintenance but in the bigger picture was fine.

I would highly recommend Natural Retreats. Not only was the home amazing, but their customer service is exceptional. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We also requested additional firewood and it was delivered and placed in the garage. Would definitely book with Natural Retreats again!

I have had bad experiences with other vacation rentals but this was effortless. Renting the property was easy, instructions were timely, and the home was mostly as expected. We had a lovely holiday.

1) NR worked with us when a situation beyond their control presented itself prior to our arrival. They handled it much to our satisfaction. 2) The rental property was clean 3) There were various sundry items (the NR boxes for kitchen and bathroom) were most helpful 4) Adequate supplies of paper towels, bath towels, kitchen spices, etc., were available 5) Check out was so nice in that there was very little required from us. Most helpful as we had an early morning flight.
