Enjoy the quiet seclusion of the one-bedroom, one-bath Bear Hug cabin in the Brother’s Cove Resort. Sleeping a total of four, guests can choose from either the loft’s king-sized accommodation, or the queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The loft offers a personal jetted-tub, a television, and access to a private veranda with two rocking chairs.
When you book your stay at this cabin, you receive free admission to popular Smoky Mountain attractions with Xplorie. This program entitles our guests to one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like Ripley’s Aquarium, WonderWorks, Mama's Farmhouse, Rowdy Bear Coaster, and more.
The beauty of a vacation in the Smokies can only be enhanced by its remote location and solitude! Therefore, please be advised that the WIFI in this area is unstable. Downloading, streaming, and/or video conferencing may not be available.
Guests can enjoy the living room’s flat screen television, fireplace, plenty of seating, and access to the back deck to take advantage of the stunning mountain views. The Bear Hugs’ back deck is complete with a hot tub and Adirondack chairs, and a charcoal grill is also available for your convenience. Cooking is simple in the Bear Hugs’ fully-equipped kitchen and provides a dining table with enough seating for four.
For your convenience, the cabin also contains a washer, dryer, and iron, and guests can enjoy access to the resort’s public swimming pool. We apologize, but the Bear Hug cabin does not accommodate pets
Please note that guests must be at least 21 years of age to rent this property.
I love all the communication and support that come with the rental. They make it very easy to book and understand.
The cabin was wonderful. It was fully stocked and staff were always there to answer questions.
We liked the cabin. However, the hot tub was weak. I am a regular visitor in the smokies cabins, and unfortunately, this cabin has the weakest hot tub, and the jet pressure was not strong enough. Other than that, I enjoyed our stay.
Ice maker did not work. Dishwasher powder not provided. Cobwebs in ceiling of bedroom. No closets for clothing.
This was a great experience. The customer service was great and the cabin was well taken care of. We had no issues during our stay. The only thing that was missing was the welcome packet with local activities/restaurants I requested prior to my visit. We did make find some great places on our own though. We loved the Great Smoky Mountains and will definitely use Natural Retreat for our next getaway.
Our stay at Brother's Cove was very nice. We stayed in cabin #18, Bear Hug and it was just right for the two of us. It was very clean and comfortable. We attended a wedding at your venue and it was also very nice. We would definitely stay at one of your cabins again.
I enjoyed Brother's cove and will come back. The cabins are well maintain and beautiful in averyway.
The cabin was wonderful for me and my Husband’s Honeymoon. The location was great and the precautions for the health and safety of guests and staff was very nice. The only complaint I would have is a small hot water heater but that is just because I like super hot baths. Everything was wonderful and I love that it was decorated for Christmas really made us feel at home. We will definitely be back and will definitely suggest to others to visit as well. I also received wonderful and timely responses when I had any questions prior to arrival.
Cabin was clean. Check in was smooth no issues
Everything about the location and cabin was a 10! I gave a 9 because there was a wedding taking place Saturday night and the music was SO loud that I was not able to sit outside. It went on way into the night. I feel that for the money, there should be staff on site if there is a scheduled wedding to keep the noise from disturbing other paying guests. And all guests of the resort should be told a head of time that there is an event that is going to DISTURB thier stay.
Very clean and comfortable
Just the extra fees.
It was a perfect little getaway. Price was a little high for two days. Staff and maintenance were very nice friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.
Everything was perfect for my girlfriends 20th birthday! An awesome romantic getaway
Great place to go on a vacation! Very clean, Easy to get to and a beautiful view! We had a blast at bear hug and would definitely come back!
Pros: The staff is very nice and friendly! The cabins are cute. Great location for a wedding at the lodge! Cons: The cabins are very close together so if looking for true solitude this is not the place.
Nice house. Not exactly clean
There was hair in the bathtub drain. There was a dead (crunchy dead) spider in the kitchen floor. There was a child’s sock in the floor beside the dryer. Didn’t appear as though anyone had done a look through before our arrival. These things should have never been there.
Bear Hug 18November 2019
I visited the Bear Hug cabin in the beginning of October. The space is perfect for two people and we enjoyed being in the woods. Not much of a mountain view. Overall our stay was nice, but some of the furniture pieces/sheets need to be updated. The kitchen and bathroom was clean however there were areas that looked like they haven't been dusted in a while. I understand the cabin is out in the woods, but the upkeep of the inside needs a deep clean on frames, lamps and decorations.
Beautiful views to wake up too!
Enjoyed our stay and the cabin was exactly like it was advertised. Kitchen had everything needed and bathrooms were perfect with plenty of soft towels. Bed and pillows were super comfy! Hot tub was very nice and had plenty of seating on the deck.

Bear Hug #18
We just got home from a wonderful week in Beat Hug #18. It was a really good experience. The cabin was immaculate! The staff was great. Our cabin was in the perfect location. The only drawback was that the pool was only reachable by a very steep part of the road. Being folks not used to driving that type of terrain, it was not a drive we chose to make after the first time. But overall the experience was amazing and we had the best time. We will definitely be back!
I appreciated the cleanliness upon arrival. Smoke free finally meant smoke free. These people are awesome!!!
We visited for our wedding anniversary. The view from the loft was great. A few issues we had were door to lower deck was very difficult to open, porch light bulb was out and the way we were instructed to drive up the mountain (to get to the cabin) meant that we had to pass the driveway and back up to park. Everything else was good. The drive to area attractions was quick and easy. Overall, we had a cozy getaway, very peaceful.
We visited in July. The cabin was very nice and clean, the area scenery was breathtaking. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect area to stay.

Such a Cute Cabin
My family of 3 visited this cabin over July 4th. The cabin was nestled on a hilltop with solar lights along the driveway. We absolutely loved our stay and definitely recommend this cabin. It was very clean and smelled of fresh wood. Just like a cabin in the mountains should :) the drive to Pigeon Forge wasn't bad at all! It took around 15-20 min to get there, and the drive was scenic and beautiful. Getting to Gatlinburg took an extra 10 or so minutes! The cabin supplied everything you would need (except for laundry detergent). Our view from the top balcony was pretty, mostly trees but we could see mountains. I have stayed in several cabins, and this was up on my list of the best. I have really bad allergies but they didn't bother me a bit here! (I have stayed in other cabins where I literally sneezed the entire time.) The only thing I found slightly wrong with this cabin was when you flushed the toilet you had to hold the handle down longer than usual to get it to flush. But that really wasn't a big deal! Overall an A+. We can't wait to visit again :)
This was one of our favorite cabins. And we lived Samantha

We spent a wonderful weekend at Brother's Cove, Bear Hug 18. The view was magnificent, and the seclusion was a welcome experience. The colors of the mountains was something to behold, and it was cold enough that we enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub very much.

Visited in November, nothing bad to say. It all was great!
