Sun-soaked beachfront home with private balconies
Seascape on Harbor Island is tucked into a friendly neighborhood at the end of a quiet beachfront cul-de-sac. With five bedrooms and eight private balconies, this spacious home allows you to immerse yourself in the gentle offshore breezes, swaying palm trees, and coastal birdsong of the South Carolina shore from any room.
There is space for three cars to park. Enter the home up a flight of stairs and onto a quaint front porch. Open the carved wood front door to the main floor kitchen and dining space. The kitchen features cherry wood custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a tiered, granite-topped island with seating for four. There’s also an elegant glass dining table with seating for six. A glass-paneled door leads out to the private back deck, with views of the peaceful marsh and the ocean beyond.
Up the staircase is a lofted living space with comfy leather sofas, flat-screen television with basic cable. This living space is ideal for curling up with a bowl of popcorn for a family movie night. There’s also a large private deck just off this living space. Relax out here in one of the rocking chairs and sit back and enjoy the ocean views and the world-class birdwatching.

We absolutely loved our 10 day stay and we’re already trying to figure out when and how we can get back. Our kids and grandkids were able to come and stay and enjoy all that Harbour Island and the surrounding area has to offer. We just fell in love with the natural beauty of the low country and historic charm of Beaufort. The house was just perfect for our family. It is beautifully furnished, well-maintained and you just can’t beat being so close to the beach. Here are some of the highlights of what we enjoyed on our trip:
Every morning we watched a beach sunrise from the back porch.
The beach - never too crowded even on Memorial Day weekend. High tide and low tide offer two different experiences. Our elementary aged grandkids enjoyed riding the small waves of high tide. Our toddler grandchildren preferred the expanse of low tide. Our entire family enjoyed a low tide sunset when it felt like we were walking into a painting and the ocean left us little treasures to discover.
Kayaking - we rented kayaks and we transported them (with a little difficulty) to Butch Rd just over the big bridge and there we kayaked in the marshes. Next time we go we’ll be more equipped to load kayaks because that was a highlight of the trip. Another option would be to kayak through Coastal Expeditions and have them do the transporting.
Coastal Expeditions - we chartered a boat ride for our family from Russ Point Boat Landing. Captain Henry did an amazing job introducing us to the nature of the area. I would check out their website for their tour offerings.
Hunting Island - we spent an afternoon at this State Park. This is a great place to experience bigger waves and find more shells and sharks’ teeth. The island offers another type of beauty with its dense foliage, lighthouse and trails.
Nearby restaurants - Foolish Frog, Low Country Cider, Barefoot Bubba’s for ice cream, Johnson Creek Tavern and Beedo’s were all excellent
Beaufort - beautiful and charming. We loved the shops, restaurants and taking pictures of the historic homes. We enjoyed eating at Old Bull Tavern, Wren, Magnolia Bakery, Lowcountry Produce Market & Cafe.
Macdonald MarketPlace - my new favorite gift shop. Antiques, art, wine, home interiors.
Gay Fish Company - we bought fresh shrimp and scallops to cook for dinner.
The large pool by the Racquet Club. It’s a nice sized pool and includes a baby pool, a small playground and a volleyball court. Although we didn’t use them there are other facilities to use such as a pickleball court and a fitness center.
The first night of our vacation we stayed in Hilton Head and some of our kids stayed in Savannah which are both around an hour away from the house. We thought we might go back to those areas during our stay, but we were content to just explore Beaufort County. It’s nice to be close to those cities as another option for shopping or restaurants.
On our first day, without our asking, Natural Escapes let us know the house would be ready sooner than 5:00 which was a definite bonus.
We look forward to returning on our next vacation and we’d love to stay in this house again. We enjoyed discovering the beauty of the beach and marshes and the rich history of the area. We will treasure this vacation for a lifetime.

We had the absolute perfect Thanksgiving holiday here. The house was perfect - clean, comfortable, stocked with everything we needed, and a perfect location. The views were stunning, every day and every night. We loved the added security of the private, gated community. The beach is easily accessible, and we were impressed with the lack of litter, anywhere. Very family-friendly. We truly loved our stay in this beach house and hope to return.

Stay was Very Nice!! House is BEAUTIFUL, and we felt like we were living in lap of luxury. Had a very slight mis-communication at first with code for front door, but had just overlooked it in email. and everything worked out just fine. Nice boardwalk to the beach with easy access, and beautiful scenery. The beach was so calm and wonderful for small kids as there were no bigger waves. We have never seen a low tide that goes out SO FAR, with plenty of sand and gooey mud for them to play in. High tide had just the right size waves for the small children to have fun in, without being overpowered and frightened. .Also, .with 2 toddlers and an infant, the extra check out time we were allowed was so nice and very much needed!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a nice relaxing stay at the beach. We took lots of pics...Thanks for a GREAT TIME and wonderful memories!
