Park City is well known as a winter playground, but often does not get
the attention it deserves in the summer. Complete with endless
adventure, delicious local restaurants and cafes, and incredible, lush
views, Park City is seemingly heaven on Earth during the warmer months.

The Best of Summer in Park City
Where to Find the Best Eats
Breakfast Sandwich at Atticus Coffee & Tea
Start the day with a local Park City favorite! Atticus Coffee & Tea offers a robust menu of hot breakfast items, baked goods, and of course, coffee and tea. This Downtown staple is styled as a walk-up counter and is outfitted with books, mountain-themed merchandise, and fun souvenirs to keep you occupied while you wait for your order. Don't be surprised if there is a bit of a wait, but we promise it's well worth it!
Our Recommendation: Order an egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel with an iced sweet cream cold brew.
Hotcakes at 5Seed
We mean it when we say we're breakfast enthusiasts, and with so many incredible morning eateries, it's only fair that we add 5Seed to our list of Best Eats. Unlike Atticus Coffee & Tea, 5Seed is a sit-down breakfast spot with various yummy breakfast options for every taste palette. The staff exudes warm hospitality and is happy to help you decide on your order in case you're torn—although we won't judge if you choose to order one of everything!
Our Recommendation: Order an iced coffee and a Hotcake for the table – it's almost too pretty to eat, so snap a picture before you dig in!
Chicken Tamale Pancakes from Purple Sage
Main Street is adorned with boutiques, bars, ice cream shops, and plenty of locally-owned restaurants. A Natural Retreats' favorite is Purple Sage, specifically on the back patio under the dreamy bistro lights. You can't beat a warm summer evening with good company, incredible food, and the warm ambiance of twinkling lights against a sunset sky. Be sure to make a reservation while you're in town.
Our Recommendation: Order the Chicken Tamale Pancakes as a starter—a shocking combination that's so good you might even want to order it as your entree!
Where to Find the Best Views
The Top of Historic Main Street
Free and accessible to the public, Historic Main Street is a Park City
gem that is adorned with welcoming storefronts and creates a small-town
feel. Stunning mountain peaks and rolling hills surround downtown, but
the real view is from the top of the street. You'll be able to look down
on the shops below and admire the mountainous skyline in the distance.
Our Recommendation: Plan for dinner at the top of Main Street and
enjoy the changing colors of the sunset sky. You will feel like you're
on top of the world!
The Hot Tub at One Empire Pass
If ever there was a hidden oasis in Park City, it's from the hot tub at
One Empire Pass. Unfortunately, it's not available to those not staying
at One Empire Pass; however, the view is enough to convince us to book a
stay! Choose from two hot, bubbling waters and enjoy the lush greenery
of the mountains.
Our Recommendation: Start the day right with a sunrise soak—it's cool enough in the mornings to enjoy the crisp mountain air.
The Alpine Lakes on Bloodlake Trail
There's nothing more rewarding than a stunning view while trekking up a
hiking trail. Take the Bloodlake Trailhead up the mountain while
admiring the waters of two alpine lakes along the way. As you climb in
elevation, you might even traverse leftover snow! Talk about a unique
summer adventure!
Our Recommendation: Start your hike in the morning to miss the
crowds! Hikers flock to this trail for the stunning wildflower-laden
meadows and panoramas of the valley.
Where to Find the Best Adventures
Mountain Biking the Big Easy & Ramble On
Mountain biking is one of the most exciting ways to explore Park City!
Perfect for beginners and more skilled riders, Big Easy and Ramble On
are the ideal challenge combination of green and blue trails. Start your
ride with big rolling jumps on the Big Easy, and then push your limits
on the rocky path of Ramble On.
Our Recommendation: If you're looking for rentals, check out White
Pine Touring! They have a full range of inventory for an epic mountain
biking outing.
Horseback Riding with North Forty Escapes
Get in touch with your inner cowboy and plan a horseback riding
excursion! North Forty Escapes is a 30-minute drive outside Downtown
Park City, but it's well worth the trip! Fans of the hit TV show,
Yellowstone, will be excited to learn that the riding trails are within
proximity to where the majority of the show was filmed. Your guide will
be able to point out other iconic landmarks from the show and help
identify wildlife along the way.
Our Recommendation: Plan your trip in the morning. The horses tend
to lose their steam as the day goes on and (understandably) like to stop
much more to munch on weeds and grass.
Swimming in Crater Hot Springs
Truly a hidden gem, Crater Hot Springs is a 30-minute drive from Park City and is one of the most unassuming experiences in the area. Available for both swimming and scuba diving, Crater Hot Springs is a reservation-only cave that gives home to naturally warm mineral waters. It's perfect after a day of hiking or mountain biking to soothe your muscles.
Our Recommendation: Make a reservation well in advance! Reservations are for an hour block; the earlier you book, the more options you have to choose from.
